About Day[9]TV

Sean "Day[9]" Plott offers fresh, smart Internet television content for gamers, with more than 4 million views a month and over 300k combined Facebook fans and Twitter followers.

Day[9] grew up playing StarCraft with his brother, Nick (aka “Tasteless”), now a professional shoutcaster with GOM.TV in Korea. He started his career as a professional StarCraft player where he won multiple games honors such as placing 1st at the World Cyber Games USA Tournament in 2005. He's now an evangelist for gaming, e-Sports and the gamer lifestyle.

Plott's autobiographical television special, "My Life of StarCraft" has been widely acclaimed as an articulate and entertaining defense of gaming and has become a YouTube sensation, with more than 3.9 million views to date.

In 2010, Plott was named PC Gamer's "Gamer of the Year." In 2011 he was honored on the Forbes "30 Under 30" list for entertainment, and again in 2014 for games. In 2013 The Guardian called him "The biggest star in esports" and in 2016 the Golden Joysticks named him "Gaming Personality of the Year. Day[9]TV has been featured on NPR's "All Things Considered," and Chicago Public Radio as well as The Economist, PCWorld, Kotaku and Business Insider.

Day[9] holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Harvey Mudd College and a Master of Fine Arts in Interactive Media from the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California.

Day[9] also loves board games and card games, comic books, combinatorics, green tea, burritos, stand up comedy, storytelling, electronic music, stained glass art, papercraft, pop surrealist art, funny youtube videos, the community, and his alma mater, Harvey Mudd College – where they actually allowed him to lecture on StarCraft strategy and 40% of the student body showed up.

Most of all, Day[9] loves to have fun. He thinks that playing games teaches you a lot about life and about yourself. He wants you to be a better gamer and a better person. Day[9]TV is his playground.
