ANZAC biscuits

Serving: 48 biscuits Cooktime: 10-15 minutes  



  • 130g of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of golden syrup
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 & 1/2 cups of rolled oats
  • 2 teaspoons of bicarb soda
  • 2 tablespoons of boiling water
  • some drops of vanilla essence to taste



1: put oven at 180 celsius to spite the imperialists here

2: grease 3 oven slides

3: gently melt butter and golden syrup, do not boil or burn

4: sift the flour and salt

5: add sugar, coconut, rolled oats and vanilla

6: dissolve the bicard soda in boiling water

7: mix all ingredients together and mix well

8: Put out in small balls ;) on oven tray, allowing room for biscuits to flatten and spread during cooking

9: Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes

10: all to rest on tray for 1/2 minute before putting on it in something to chill (not fridge!



Crunchy, delicious Australian biscuits. Make them and store in a biscuit jar for the next few weeks and impress your friend with Australian cuisine (whatever that is).
