Fast and Fun French Toast

CreatorTheRealDeeba Prep Time: 5 minutes Difficulty: Beginner
Serving: 3-5 Cooktime: 4 minutes per piece of toast

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup of whole milk
  • 1/3 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp of cinammon
  • 1 T vanilla extract
  • sliced bread (use brioche if you're feeling extra French)
  • confectioner's sugar, maple syrup, whipped cream, and/or fresh fruit for toppings

Instructions

Mix the eggs, the milk, the sugar, the cinammon, and the vanilla extract in a bowl

Pour the mixture into a shallow cake pan (a 9x9 cake pan is usually fine)

Put a lightly greased skillet on the stove at low heat (I like to use butter to grease the skillet, but cooking spray or any kind of neutral oil work just as well)

Soak a slice of bread on both sides in the egg and milk mixture and put it in the skillet

Cook each side for 2 minutes or until golden brown on both sides

Repeat the last two steps for as many slices of bread as you want (the amount of mixture in this recipe usually allows for about 10 slices of bread)

Top the french toast with confectioner's sugar, maple syrup, whipped cream, and/or fresh fruit

Notes

French toast is easily the best breakfast food, and this by far the best french toast recipe.
