|Serving: Depends how big you make them, but usually about 30||Cooktime: 2-3 minutes a pancake|
- 2 cups of self raising flour
- a pinch of salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
- 6 dessert spoons of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of oil
- 2 teaspoons golden syrup
Add all the ingredients except the milk to a large bowl and mix together. Start adding milk in small amount until the mixture is quite firm, but runs slowly off the mixing spoon. Use a flat griddle pan and take large desert spoons of the mixture, and let it pour onto the griddle, having about 3 on at a time. The top will start to bubble when it is turn to flip them, and make sure they are cooked to the middle before removing.
Fantastic with some salty butter spread on.
Scottish style pancakes for those that like them sweet.
