th·lete

  [ath-leet]
noun
a person trained or gifted in exercises or contests involving physical agility, stamina, or strength; aparticipant in a sport, exercise, or game requiring physical skill.
Of course they are. Starcraft 2 takes more physical skill than any "sport" out there; you spend your time actually learning to move and react instead of just building more and more weights. In all of football the only person I'd say even compares to a Starcraft 2 player in terms of actual physical SKILL is the Quarterback, and even THEN, I would easily argue any day that Starcraft 2 takes MORE practice and MORE skill to be good at. And I respect them more, honestly, because with current prize pools it's pretty obvious they aren't doing it for money.
