Hell, it's about time.
I was thinking about making a post like this, but GymLordyKnights is a much better name than I would have come up with.
I've been doing StrongLifts 5x5 for 9 weeks now. It was suggested to me by a super-fit friend of mine and the app for it makies it super easy to keep track of everything. I weighed 180lbs when I started and hover around 176lbs now. I'm in a bulking phase, so I only do low-intensity cardio like walking.
Lifts
- Squat: 170lbs
- Overhead Press: 75lbs (just deloaded on that one from 90lbs)
- Deadlift: 215lbs
- Bench Press: 105lbs
- Barbell Row: 125lbs
Almost all of these started at 45lbs, which wasn't hard, but I spent a lot of time working on form, upping the weight each time until I start really struggling. The overhead press is the only one I've had to deload so far, but the squats are getting super heavy now.
I messed up my squat for about a week at one point, which caused some pain in my knees. I did a deload week and had to skip two workouts due to a vacation, so they're pretty much back to normal now.
