We're making an RTS where you don't control your units!

I've been a fan of Day9 for quite a while now (since around the 100th daily) and he has inspired me on more than one occasion. I would say that the RTS, that I am currently part of, is happening partially due to his influence on me and the genre in general.

Long story short: we're making an RTS called "Failure" and we need feedback on the concept and (partially) the implementation. The basic idea is that you don't control your units - you change the game board layout by raising and lowering hexes. We have a short video explaining the basic gist of it (skip to about the middle of video, if you're interested only in the gameplay):

We would love to hear anything you have to say about it!
