Work out and cook more

Description
This is my first month living truly on my own, and I figure it’s a good time to start building healthy habits. When I live at home, I eat a lot of take-out and don’t really work out that often. I’ve always wanted to make this change, and this seems like a great time to do it.
Recent Updates
I did not end up working out really, but I did cook plenty. I had to go out of the country so I was unable to really spend time focusing on this, but it worked out. I’d call it a success, I did lose a little weight and I feel a lot better.
Turns out moving is a lot more work than I thought it would be. Who could have predicted this.
Anyway, I managed to cook twice this week, and I’ll probably cook tomorrow as well, so I’ll count that as one week of success. I made a big pot of beans and rice when I first moved in, and I managed to coast on that for two days. This morning, I made homefries, eggs, and sausage, which was delicious.
As far as working out, I haven’t been to a gym or done any sort of routine at home, but I’ve walked at least 10-15 miles this week, so I’ve definitely been more active. My schedule this month is kind of crazy, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to work out. I have the ability to, but anxiety makes it hard for me to start something new if I don’t have a friend to do it with. I’m traveling next week and the week after, so that adds another layer as well.
More to come next week.

Week 1 Goal
Work out at least 2x a week in September, ideally for 30+ minutes each time.
Cook 3 or more days a week, or at least eat something I cooked myself once a day. Snacks (like carrots and hummus) don’t count!
