Fall Garden Overhaul

Description
Cleaning out the vegetable garden and putting more dirt in and getting things ready for Fall / Winter. If time I will try to clean up the flower gardens as well (primarily weeding).
Recent Updates
I think this is technically the end of the month long project! I didn’t get done as much as I’d like but I ended up doing little things from weeks 3/4.
Added manure / compost to the strawberry bed!
Transplanted strawberry runners from the main garden.

Week 2 /3 update? Worked on both Sundays but the second there was a bit of rain so I didn’t make as much progress as I would have liked.
(raining on me. :C )
Cleaned out bed! Planted some spinach but I’m not sure if it will have enough time to grow before we get a hard frost.

Before picture of the melon vine (that died… :( ) and cucumber plants on the cattle panel.
Week 1 update: WELL. I definitely over estimated how much I would be able to get done this week. Sunday I managed to remove most of the cucumber plants and that was it! Started my second job this week and then managed to get sick so all plans got thrown out the window.
Took a couple “before” pictures of the raised beds so that I can get started on plant removal tomorrow!
Estimated Timeframe
Sep 15th - Oct 15th
Week 1 Goal
- Removing dead plants out of raised beds.
- Add compost to beds without plants
- Remove stakes, clean / dry / store
- Plant bunching onions if enough time before first frost
- Store extra fencing that is laying out
- Remember to take progress pictures!!
Week 2 Goal
- Transplant strawberry runners from the flower garden to raised bed
- Weed the front garden (filled with little trees)
- Add compost to weeded garden
Week 3 Goal
- Buy and add some mums into the garden
- Divide hostas and plant some under maple tree
- More pulling of dead plants in raised beds
- Add compost to any newly weeded / cleared out beds
Week 4 Goal
- Rake out under yucca plant and cut back the leaves
- Plant Dahlia’s that are in pots
- More weeding in all gardens
- Add compost to back garden and the bed under my window.
- Remove trees from under the porch / clean up porch area
