Description

I want to start being active every day to help regulate my energy level and sleep schedule. I have free weights I can use, but honestly I’ll be happy if I can just spend 30 minutes every day going for a walk or run.

Project Wrap-Up:

I didn’t end up exercising every day, but I still did more than I would have without the pseudo-obligation of this project. All in all, it wasn’t a wild success, but it was at least the kind of success that’s not a complete failure, and that’s a good start.

Day 17 (Week 3 start):

School is finally finishing, so another walk today hopefully starts the everyday routine going.

Beautiful day outside; did another 4000+ steps in the park

Day 8:

I walked through the park today. Just over 4000 steps, which I think is a good place to start out.

Day 5 Update:

I’ve only gone for a walk twice so far. I’m also finishing up school, so it’s hard to generate the willpower for all the things I’m trying to do right now. However, that’s not the feeling that stops me when I think, “I should go for a walk right now.” For some reason, the fact that I have to walk down a public road and through a public park is what gives me pause; I think it would be easier to decide to go on a walk if I could do it in a place completely devoid of other people. I’m not sure if I’m embarrassed about something or just afraid of judgment.
