Finish my book backlog

Description
I want to pick up streaming again, but I also don’t want to spend all my time on video games. After my stream is over, I want to work on my backlog of books in the afternoon.
Recent Updates
Week 2 Update: Finishing “Drive to the East” really put me back in the mood to finish the series. I just finished the book in more of a hurry than my last update let on so i’m “ahead of schedule”.
“The Grapple” has taken the story in an interesting direction which I am pleasantly surprised by.
Week 1 Update: Going from “Sapiens” to “Drive to the East”, I remember why I like fiction much more than these informational books. In the time i’ve set aside to read, I’ve been making more progress than I expected. At this rate, I will be done with this book by saturday.
However, both “Sapiens” and “Drive to the East” were already partly read when I picked them up again. I didn’t start them again from the start, so the pace is more leisurly than it might seem. If my math is not wrong, I should finish “In at the Death”, the last book on the list, on the last day of the challenge.
Day 3: I took some extra time and finished the second half of “Sapiens” by Doctor Yuval Noah Harari.
Though the latter parts of the book on the industrial revolution and the marriage of science, empire and industry had some interesting tidbits, I stilll feel that the first half or first third of the book discussing human evolution and the agricultural revolution were more interesting overall. The last two chapters discussing hapiness and the future were very interesting however.
Again, there wasn’t anything truely surprising in the presentations about the mordern era or the speculations about the future. New information was more prevalent to me in the the earlier chapters, which probably contributed to making them more interesting to me.
Sapiens was a pleasant read, but it is a technical book and can be heavy at times. The author shows some biases from time to time, but nothing truely distracting.
