Description

Currently doing a career shift and learning Python, but getting a programming job will take some time. So I need to update my resume and look for a job in the meantime. No pressure if by the end of 30 days, I still don’t have a job, but would like to get the wheels into motion.

End of Week 1 reflection:

Sent my 1st resume out!
Resume and cover letter took a lot of time to get going
Should get easier as I continue to apply
Capitalize on my strengths and what drives me

Oct 15th - Nov 13th

Week 1 Goal

Create a rough draft of resume and cover letter - refine later.
Start looking at available jobs and see what’s a good fit
Send out resume 1x this week

Week 2 Goal

Look over resume and cover letter and see if I can tailor them to the job description, making different copies
Send R/CL to at least 5 friends for peer review
Keep looking at jobs
Send out resume 3x this week

Week 3 Goal

Continue refining R/CL with peer review
New jobs are always popping up, find at least 1 listing per day to apply, 7 total this week
Send out resume 1x per day, 7 total this week
Start looking at interview questions and how to go about them. Also ask friends for their advice

Week 4 Goal

Home stretch!
