Description
I’ll have a newborn during this DK30 so my goal is to practice self care in addition to baby care.
Recent Updates
This is still a work in progress.
I’ve been sticking with 3 days per week of running or weight training. I still plan to get back up to 5 or 6 but I think it will take a few more months.
For the next few weeks I’ll be focusing on my sleep since I think I can realistically do better on that front.
I’m now 30 days into the project and it’s been a struggle.
Goal run, walk, or weight train daily: I’m only at about 3 days per week Goal asleep by 10pm: I’m mostly going to bed at 10:45pm
I still have a lot of work to do on both goals in the next few weeks, but I’m happy with my progress!
My son arrived early so I’m already almost 2 weeks into this!
So far I’ve been asleep by 10:30 or 11pm. I wake up at 6:30am to take care of my daughter so I really need to walk that back to 10pm this week but it feels doable.
I had my first post-baby run yesterday and feel like getting back into an exercise routine is doable. Things overall are going well enough that I’m adjusting the project to include my normal weight training as well :)
