Retrospective: I completed all my goals and even put in a offer (that was not accepted). Over the past month I have learned a lot more about shopping for a house. I also learned that EVERYONE has an opinion on house hunting and the housing market. It’s interesting because they all think the hot market will crash soon, but none of them are actual economists. We all have opinions but not everyone should voice their options. For example, I am a professional SalesForce Engineer, so if someone has a question on how to develop in SalesFroce my opinion would be more valid than some random person who happens to use SalesForce for their job. I wish people would keep their opinions on complex issue to themselves because at the end of the day they have no clue if the housing market will go up or down and thinking they do just makes them sound stupid. Sorry for the rant, I just don’t appreciate financial advice from people who have barely contributed to a 401k in the past 30 years and are going to retire poor.

Week 4: Planning on seeing another house on Thursday this week.

Week 3: saw two more houses today, probably won’t make any offers but I am getting better at finding thing I do/don’t like in houses.

Week 2: saw two more houses and even made an offer on one! It didn’t get accepted but I learned a lot about how to make and offer and how to figure out what the offer amount should be.

Week 1: Found my realtor and got pre-approved by a lender :) Week 2: Went on my first two house showings on Saturday. Didn’t like any of them but it was nice to get to know my realtor more and break the seal on house hunting. We expanding our search to have more cities.

So I spent 1 hr on working on a platformer for week one a quickly realized I’m just not in the right mind space for programming outside of work. I’m a Salesforce developer and end of quarter is always a busy time at work. I might still mess around randomly with these prompts but doing a 360 on this one (yes 360, I’m going to spin in a circle and pick something else). I just started the process of house hunting so I will be focusing my non-work efforts on that.
