Tower Defense game using SDL

Description

Creating a tower defense game in C++. Would be fun to get it to a good shape before Oct. 19th to either continue it (maybe with collaborators) or use what I learned for a new project.

Got visuals working somewhat, continuing this project in the DK30 proper.

Completed the first 8 tutorials and made a few classes that handle the core elements of the game.

Estimated Timeframe

Sep 19th - Oct 17th

Week 1 Goal

Go through Lazy Foo’s SDL tutorials.

Week 2 Goal

  • Build the map
  • Make basic graphics for towers/enemies
  • Basic code for the towers (attacking, statistics (damage, range, etc.))

Week 3 Goal

  • make pathing for enemies
  • code the bonuses for the towers
  • better attacking algorithms (farthest, center-of-mass, lowest-hp, highest-hp)

Week 4 Goal

  • Handle any outstanding bugs / clean up code
  • implement some balance between towers/upgrades/bonuses
  • make better graphics?
