A Short Story and a Translation

RichDecker (Raho) Writing DK30 Fall 2021 4 3

Description

The project is split into two parts.

In the first part, I will be writing a short story based on possibly suggestions from the #writing channel (if not, I do have some backup story ideas). In the second, I will be translating all of it to English.

This time around, I will not be establishing firm time limits for work on each day as that is already a part of my ongoing large scale scheduling plan (it roughly equates to average 1,2h of secondary writing projects a day), which I will not track on DK30 site.

Recent Updates

Update in case anyone is watching

Translation is kicking my butt. At this point I roughly take 1 hr translating around 70-100 words. I will keep going until we are done.

Update 3

Editing somewhat done. The translation definitely will take longer than a single day, so we are going till it’s done. Overtime!

Update 2

Little (a lot) behind schedule, but the story is now finished. The stage of editing begins. I will not try to rush as my main goal is to do all the steps necessary - even if it takes longer than a month.

Update 1

Time.

That is the theme of the story. Today, I’ve roughly finished outlining the prompted story and will start working on the first draft tomorrow. I will try to keep the updates as free of spoilers as possible to not spoil anything to potential readers. Have a good one folks!

Estimated Timeframe

Oct 19th - Nov 18th

Week 1 Goal

I will gather ideas for the short story and chart it out. Ideally, I would like to start writing the main body before the week is over.

Week 2 Goal

Finish writing the story and proceed to editing.

Week 3 Goal

Finish editing and proceed to translation.

Week 4 Goal

Continue with translation and hopefully finish before the project is over.
