Launch and update my maker youtube channel

Work and Lost Ark have eaten up my editing time, so I didn’t get much done this week. I did start filming my next video. At this point I have decided I will release my videos when they are ready. I plan to do a lot of editing this weekend. Hopefully I can get at least two videos fully edited and on a release schedule.

Editing takes a long time. I ended up finishing and releasing my 3rd video on Monday.

I then decided to film an extra video for Project For Awesome. Luckily that was just a quick one shot without much editing.

Currently I have my fourth, fifth, and sixth videos filmed, but I have been busy and haven’t had time to edit them. I plan to get a lot of editing done this weekend alongside some other work I need to do for my day job.

I have also started thinking about shots I want for my seventh video.

I haven’t decided on when I want to release my upcoming videos, if I should stick to a schedule or just release them when they are ready.

So far I have been hit or miss with my goals. I have gotten most things I wanted done, but not necessarily when I planned them.

For goals I hit, I launched my channel on 2/9 with the trailer and first video and I was able finish my second video the day the delayed parts for it arrived.

For goals I missed deadlines on, I didn’t start filming my third video until late on Saturday and won’t finish it until today, I didn’t finish editing my second video until late Monday night, and I still haven’t even started editing my third video, though I should be able to start today once I finish filming.

I also got a little ahead and started scripting my fourth and fifth video because I was thinking about them and had some ideas that I thought would be cool to do.

For week 2, I am going to adjust my plan a little to accommodate the slips I had from week 1. I am pushing my third video release to Friday so that I don’t have so much of a time pressure and can do a good job editing it. I also know now that I take a lot longer to script than I expected so it makes sense to start that earlier.

Overall I feel like I am in a good place with respect to my schedule, and I think I will be able to complete what I want by the end of the 30 days.
