A Cloak and no Dagger

Description

The main point is to practice/learn sewing. But since that by itself would be boring, the overarching goal product for the month will be a fullsize cloak with a cape, intended to be a fusion between a medieval style cloak and modern day overcoats. Weekly goals will be set as the project starts due to budgetary constraints (I don’t have the money to be able to practice for as long as I could physically)

DRASTIC UPDATE

I still don’t have the sewing machine. You can’t hear the anger in my voice, but it’s very unsafe to transit it on bumpy buses on bumpy roads. The project will be frozen and I’ll try to find some replacement panic project.

Small update, I will get my sewing machine much later than expected, so the project will be mostly sewing practice and might not get time to actually make the cloak, but I will try my best.

Estimated Timeframe

Oct 19th - Nov 19th

Week 1 Goal

Purchase practice material. Practice for 8 hours over the week while following tutorials.

Week 2 Goal

Practice for 10 hours over the week without any tutorials and try to remember sewing techniques.

Week 3 Goal

Practice for 12 hours over the week with tutorials.

Week 4 Goal

Purchase materials for the cloak and sew it together (cloak is one of the easiest garments to sew, so it should be doable, hopefully).
