Small projects around the house

Delta_Angelfire Other DK30 New Year 2023 2 1

Description

There’s alot of small things around the house and yard that need repair or improvement. I’d like to finish at least one small project every other day, for a total of 15 by the end of the month. Just whichever thing I first look at and see “that could use some attention”,

Yeah so this one was a failure. Like the purpose of DK30 itself is to break things down into smaller steps so you can accomplish something and get reslts. Only I never get a feeling of accomplishment no matter the result. No Dopamine for me. And all the stress of looming obligations. Maybe I can get away with something that requires less thinking so I’ve already started a different 30 day project to run everyday. Time slot set aside, No thinking required, hopefully that works better. Plus the dog will be happy to join me.

Think it might be time to call it. I’ve got another project to do to replace the rear screen door but it requires me to build a door and its just so hard to get myself to start

Been a tough week, helped my stepfather with a couple trips to the doctor this week due to an infection he needed treatment for, so I ended up behind in my expected project progress, Will have to make up for it next week!

Project 4: Filled in these old holes from broken concrete anchors and installed a new latch so i the garbage access door will stay closed again.

Project (1b): Took apart a rolling file cabinet so I could clean it out and then moved to it’s new home under my desk. Does simple cleaning count as a project? I don’t know, but it is something I did today.

Project 3: the previous doggy ramp I constructed took damage when we rescued a bigger dog, so I attached the ramp to a sturdier support base.

project 2: the metal supports on this garden rocking seat rusted out, so added some steel putty and additional support so the seat wouldn’t cave in when sat upon. This was actually attempt #2 at this, because i tried just puttying the supports that were there, and they broke off when i sat on it. Chair sees to work now though with the new support added (though not painted).

Project 1: Used some of the unused materials around the yard to build a little cage for this tree sapling that keeps getting beat up.
