May #beyoncebody Push - Physical Therapy focus!
Zi_Sakura Health, Fitness, Food DK30 New Year 2023 1 1
Description
I twisted my right knee 14ish years ago practicing dance and never got physical therapy. Because I’ve gained weight and age, I unintentionally changed my gait and it began to hurt as my right leg weakened. I started physical therapy in February and my PT already noted that my leg is back to about 70% its full strength, so I’ve done good in the last about 3 months. Because doing the PT exercises daily is so crucial, I am trying to hit 5-7 out of 7 days a week of doing PT in May so that I can continue to strengthen my right leg. The goal is to be able to run this summer without my knee hurting.
Recent Updates
Forgot to wrap up this project, but I actually did do enough PT to be able to run again in the summer!
Going to simply record this in a Google Keep and then transfer the dates here once I’m done at the end of the month. Wrote out every day for the rest of the month so that when I go update it every day with whether or not I did my PT for that day, I visually see that I should continue to do the exercises the next day.
Estimated Timeframe
May 1st - May 31st
Week 1 Goal
Sadly the first week has been a bit awash. I’ve been slacking a bit on the exercises because I’ve been so busy at work. the good thing is I did go to PT Monday, and got another day in on Thursday. Gonna at most hit 4 days with the weekend as I right this on 5/6/23, but thats better than only 2, so aiming for 4 days.
