THE TIME HAS COME! One month to our international competition in Italy: https://dragonboatravenna2024.com/en/ I really can’t wait, so it’s time to put the work in, stay healthy, and do my best for my team and myself! Still 5 more weeks of work to put in, and quite a bit of italy logistics research to do to prepare for the trip, so let’s get it!

I DID IT

I achieved my goal of under 3 min both sides before the Italy competition! My coach on the younger women’s team hopes I can get to 2 min 45 seconds, so we will see in the next couple of weeks if I can do more 🙂

500m on pERG

I had to WORK to keep that right side under 3 minutes, and most of the young women’s team are probably showing up next Monday to get their times in, so I put on some Shaq aka DJ Diesel and I got it DONE. Thanks Shaq!

I’m glad I did this math because it helps me clearly identify what is helping me improve. So cool!

Despite busy week, got consistent workouts in

It was a very busy and tiring work week for me, but I still got my workouts in, and I also survived our first Italy specific double practice - which is more intense than the usual ones we do despite us potentially paddling for a shorter distance. Hope to keep it up!

  • I’m going to benchmarks tomorrow so I can get it over with. This is our final benchmark before competition, so I hope I pull some good numbers, and I’ll probably come here to reflect on these numbers vs. my numbers since the beginning of this year here.
