Restarting meditation.

Description
A simple, straightforward project without anything expectations. I’ve been feeling emotionally unmoored lately amid changes I’ve been trying to make and general world stress and I’ve not really been dealing with it directly, so now I am. It’s a simple thing but I know it will trigger a lot more in me simply by ensuring I do it so I’m going for it. The target is simple. Sit down for at least 5 minutes of meditation. As long as I do it for that amount of time, I can call it quits after that but I know I’ll likely go longer and do more with it if I do. I’ve set up reminders every day for the first week and then once a week reminders after that. Building the habit back up is all about consistency so that’s what I’m going to do.
Recent Updates
Day 12: (March 28)
Complete ~ Mind drifted a bit but I stayed with it for slightly longer than time I had set.
Notes: I’ve resumed and morning is proving to be a far better and more useful time for me. I’m also able to combine it with Sunlight exposure time on rainy days so I’m doing two things I should be at once.
Days 2-11: (March 18 - March 27)
Mixed ~ First several days went well but then I did end up not doing so for a while.
Notes: Part of the failure I realized was I was doing it too late in the day. I’m switching it to mornings or lunch at least to ensure that I do it but that I also benefit from the results.
Day 1: (March 17, 2025)
Complete ~ Went beyond timer as predicted but only to 10 minutes as it’s getting late.
Notes: If using headphones to block out distraction noises, put computer into focus mode lest notification pings ruin it.
