Description
The project is for a prototype of gameplay: tower defense with a map progression in the style of Slay the Spire. The scope is the initial design, making the prototype, playtesting and tinkering until the gameplay is fun (or can’t be made fun).
Estimated Timeframe
Jul 1st - Aug 1st
Week 1 Goal
Design in the style of “One Page Designs” GDC talk.
Week 2 Goal
Unity prototype implementing foundational systems (e.g. general map, tower and enemy mechanics). Test whether it makes sense.
Week 3 Goal
Add a variety of specific objects building upon the foundations (e.g. various kinds of enemies and towers). See what works and what doesn’t.
Week 4 Goal
Tweak elements and playtest to find the fun.
